In 2021 alone, the total production value in the area reached over VND 198,000 billion, an increase of 20.5% compared to 2020. Total budget revenue in the area reached VND 3,652 billion, an increase of 9% compared to the provincial estimate assigned in 2020. FDI attraction reached over 300 million USD with about 300 new SMEs. In particular, Ben Cat met the criteria of class-3 urban area (meeting 57/59), exceeding the minimum score as prescribed in Resolution No. 1210/2016/ UBTVQH13 on urban classification and was recognized as a class-3 urban area in decision No. 1503/ QD-BXD dated November 20th 2018 issued by the Minister of Construction.
Multi-dimensional poverty line is 1.4 times higher than the central
The resolution regulating multidimensional poverty standards in Binh Duong province in 2022-2025 is one of the interests of delegates and many voters at this meeting. Accordingly, the income benchmark in rural areas is VND 2.1 million/person/month, 1.4 times higher than the central government; in urban areas, it is VND 2.6 million/person/month, 1.3 times higher than the central government. The benchmark level of shortage of basic social services, including: Employment, health, education, housing, running water - sanitation and information.
According to Nguyen Truong Nhat Phuong, Vice Chairwoman of the Provincial People's Council, the resolution on regulations on multidimensional poverty standards in Binh Duong province in 2022-2025 contributed to the good implementation of social security policies, continued to create the premise for economic, political and social stability, meet the legitimate needs and aspirations of the people.
