Various individual and collective models have emerged in all walk of life during the patriotism emulation movement in Thu Dau Mot City. They excelled not only in their profession but also in the practice of modern life, buidling up a civilized and modern city.

In 5 years, Thu Dau Mot City has initiated various patriotism emulation movements to earn unanimous support of the public. More and more models of good person doing good things, of model collectives in all walks of life. Accordingly, the movements have made great contribution to socio-economic development of Thu Dau Mot City and to enforce national defense and security. Together with the emulation movement in 5 years, the awarding process has been taken care of to encourage model individuals and collectives to make more efforts for widening the movements in the communities.

Talking to us, Mrs. Nguyen Thu Cuc, Deputy Chair of Thu Dau Mot City People’s Committee informed of the spreading patriotism emulation movements in 5 years to bring about development of economy, culture, society, and national defense in the city. Prominently, the emulation movements in the city have been widened for the fulfillment of targets proposed by the city Party Committee to be worthy of the cause of nation building and protection.

In the patriotism emulation movements, many model individuals have excelled in various movements.

Nguyen Thanh Hai was entitled as thief and robber catcher in Phu Hoa Anti-crime Club. Hai was adored by everyone for his determination of crime suppress.

Hai said: “I have been with the club ever since 1997 of the former name of local prevention paramilitary unit. Catching the robbers is to ensure peace of the society as our determination despite various risky occassions.”

Over 10 years, his club has helped to undermine theft and robbery in a bid to protect the nation. Currently, the club model has been duplicated across localities nationwide.

Ms. Dinh Thi Lien, Head of Quarter 12 Red Cross Division of Phu Cuong Ward, is a model of devotion to the career of economic development and life assurance. By annual rotation of capital funding, she há helped hundreds of members to develop household businesses and settle down.

Lien said: “Success depends on the heart, talent, mind, and trust. We should be considerate for the trust to the Party, authority, members, donators, and the public.”

Mr. Nguyen Hoang Hai, Deputy Secretary of Chanh Loc 7 Quarter Party Cell at Chanh My Ward, is also a model of patriotism emulation movement. By his engagement and devotion, he called upon 8 constructions of rural traffic and 1 drainage line of 1.9km as well as elementary schools and kindergartens. He also helped poor people to access loans and jobs to improve income. Up to date, Hai has introduced 50 families to loans of over VND 300 million. Besides, he has been close to public for the operations of local organizations and unions.

In 5 years, patriotism emulation movement has robustly influenced on socio-economic development in Thu Dau Mot City in the stage of industrialization and modernization.
