Huynh Van Thanh, Head of Provincial Party Mass Mobilization Board, Chairman of TDM City Fatherland Front Committee, said that to implement the Politburo's Conclusion 62 combined with the implementation of Conclusion No.81 of the 10th Provincial Party on the current situation and solutions for renewing the contents and operation modes of socio-political organizations, mass organizations in TDM City has changed in awareness and practice of Party committees and authorities at all levels. The role and position of Fatherland Front Committee and] socio-political organizations in the area have been increasingly strengthened, overcoming the administrativization in activities. Besides, the unions have brought into play the role of representing and protecting legal, legitimate rights and interests of all people classes.

Based on resolutions, programs of the City Party Committee and authorities, Fatherland Front and socio-political organizations carried out them by effective measures; some prominent works were Resolution No. 4 of the City Party Standing Committee on mass mobilization period 2011-2015, Program No. 7 of the City Party Executive Committee on mass mobilization program in 2016-2020 period; Organizational scheme of the campaign to build a cultural lifestyle - urban civilization...

In particular, TDM City Fatherland Front Committee had many solutions and applied creative models, contributing to diversifying the content and forms of activities to gather people. In particular, the Fatherland Front and its member organizations focused on renewing the content, operating modes, diversifying models of gathering, strengthening and expanding effective models, such as club of crime - drugs prevention fighting, Traffic safety - urban order self-management team, propaganda club for the campaign "Vietnamese people give priority to using Vietnamese goods", Self-management team for environmental protection... Fatherland Front committees at neighborhoods and member organizations actively encouraged people to participate in movements and campaigns; created a practical movement to meet the interests and needs of all people strata, contributing to socio-economic development, ensuring social defense and security in the area.

Through the above activities, the Fatherland Front performed well its role of building and expanding the great national unity bloc, regularly paid attention, advise the Party to consolidate the apparatus, enhance grassroots-oriented activities, bringing into play the people's mastery rights to participate in building a clean and strong Party and government. In particular, by the implementation of monitoring function, the city's Fatherland Front counseled Party committees and authorities to promptly resolve pressing issues of the people.

However, besides the good results, there were still some shortcomings and limitations, such as that advisory boards of the Fatherland Front did not yet brought into full play their activities. People's inspection boards and community investment supervision boards have not fully promoted their roles as the people's supervision organizations. The coordination and integration of patriotic emulation movements launched by the Fatherland Front at times, in some places were not closely carried out. Some emulation campaigns and movements were still formalist, incoherent, did not gain high effectiveness. The understanding and report of the public's thoughts from grassroots mass organizations to party committees and authorities was sometimes not timely...

According to Mr. Thanh, in order to continue to heighten the effectiveness of activities of the Fatherland Front and mass organizations, it is necessary to overcome the above shortcomings. In particular, it is necessary to raise awareness about the role of the Fatherland Front and socio-political organizations; intensify the renewal of content and methods to heighten the practicability and effectiveness of activities of Fatherland Front and mass organizations.
