To implement the directive of the Ministry of Health on ensuring the ability to Covid-19 sample collection and treatment, provincial Department of Health has issued an official document to ask medical units to be ready for treatment of both ordinary patients and Covid-19 patients. In particular, medical units need to transfer patients when the requirement exceeds their professional capacity. Medical units need to strictly organize the distribution and screening of suspected cases coming to medical examination and treatment establishments to detect cases, strictly manage patients at Covid-19 treatment areas, temporary isolation zones, avoid cross-infection in medical examination and treatment establishments; Sars-Cov-2 detection tests are performed for suspected covid-19 symptoms and randomized testing in medical examination and treatment facilities.
In order to improve capacity and skills, the Department of Health recommends that medical establishments need to strengthen training and professional training on diagnosing and treating Covid-19 patients according to the guidance of the Ministry of Health for all health workers: training on basic and advanced emergency resuscitation for doctors and nurses to meet the demand of Covid-19 patients in the new phase.
