Minister of Home Affairs visits and extends Christmas greetings to Phu Cuong Bishop's Office

On occasion of Christmas 2019 and New Year 2020, on 19 Dec, a delegation of the Ministry of Home Affairs led by Minister Le Vinh Tan and the Cabinet Religious Affairs Board's Head Vu Chien Thang visited and extended Christmas greetings to  bishops and priests of Phu Cuong Bishop's Office and Catholic parishioners in Binh Duong province.Trần Thanh Liêm, Deputy Secretary of Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of Provincial People's Committee, and representatives of provincial Department of Home Affairs, were also present at the visit.


Minister of Home Affairs Le Vinh Tan and provincial leaders present gifts to Phu Cuong Bishop's Office.

Mr. Tân sent his Christmas and New Year greetings to the bishops and priests at Phu Cuong Bishop's Office as well as the Catholic parishioners in Binh Duong province. The Minister of Home Affairs affirmed: The Party and the State always consistently respect and ensure the freedom of belief and religion of all people strata, encourage and create favorable conditions for the people to carry out religious activities, economic development, improving living standards. The Minister noted that in the coming time, the provincial Party and Government should continue to have more policies to support Bishop's Offices and parishioners in religious activities, economic development, and together build up more and more beautiful and developing Binh Duong. The Minister presented many gifts to the bishops and priests at Phu Cuong Bishop's Office. 

Joseph Nguyen Tan Tuoc, Bishop of Phu Cuong Diocese, thanked the delegation for visiting, the attention and support of the Central and provincial Party and Government.
