Industrial Promotion and Development Consultancy Center of Department of Industry and Trade just announced Decision of Binh Duong Provincial People’s Committee approving 21 model rural industrial products. According to the selection committee of the province, the 21 products are of high potential development to meet domestic and foreign market demands.
Each product, each particular value
The 21 products were just certified as model rural industrial products with brand-name value of Binh Duong Province. Of the 21 products, Bui Thanh Long One-member Co. Ltd. has two products of bamboo engraved golden-fish and lacquer vases sophistically made by craftmen of Tuong Binh Hiep Lacquer Village in Thu Dau Mot City. Meantime, Ba Nhat bamboo and plant handicraft collective in Tan Uyen Town has 2-functional stools in simple chair and table set made from water hyacinth. As for Tu Bon One-member Lacquer Co. Ltd. has 4 products approved, of which, jewelry box engraved with golden shell is considered as the most sophisticated product.

Of handicraft products, 17 products are approved for which Quang Minh Production and Trade Joint Stock Company has 2 products of rattan folding chair and paper folding basket which are highly valued by the evaluation committee. Thanh Loc Bamboo and Rattan Knitting Establishment in Tan Phuoc Khanh Ward of Tan Uyen Town has 3 products approved including wooden and steel framed cabinet components made from water hyacinth and vertical knitted water hyacinth vases. The water hyacinth chopping plate, wooden bruiser, wooden glass tray, and wooden water hyacinth flower pot of Phu Long Tan Co. Ltd. are approved.
Ngoc Son Python and Crocodile Trade and Investment Joint Stock Company is approved of 3 products of female handbag and purse made of crocodile skin. Binh Duong metal casting establishment in Lai Thieu Ward of Thuan An Town is approved for its products of brass propeller screw.
Mr. Nguyen Van Huu, Deputy Director of Department of Industry and Trade said that the 21 approved products were considered for its high usability and development potentials for domestic and foreign market buying demands.
The selection approval would enable Department of Industry and Trade to plan for trade promotion and introduction of rural industrial products to develop. Through information dissemination and calling for establishments to participate, the provincial evaluation committee has marked the attending products which have passed district or local evaluation by their satisfaction of criteria proposed by evaluation organizers including its consuming feasibility in the market while maintaining economic, technical, and social value of culture and arts.
Opportunity for product outreach
The evaluation and approval of model rural industrial products in 2014 have facilitated producers to introduce their position and image to consumers in and outside of the province. This has been an occasion for the Department of Industry and Trade to add up more practical activities to industrial promotion to make better and more effective support for the products. Besides, the producers would have opportunity to introduce their products with outreach to further markets. The selection of true model rural industrial products is also meaningful in promoting rural economy.
As affirmed by the evaluation committee, the 21 approved products were valuable in terms of population live hood and exporting markets. By the selection and evaluation, departments, sectors, districts, towns, and Thu Dau Mot City continue with plans for developing brand-names and market expansion while making robust information updates, market seeking and management knowledge learning.
Localities would be encouraged to invest into model rural industrial products both in quantity and quality as the State is offering promotion policies to develop such products which require product development orientation in the stage of provincial development and for the cause of sustainable growth of the province.
