Nearly 1,000 smuggling and commercial fraud cases handled

Update: 23-10-2023 | 17:38:02

From the year’s beginning to August 15, Binh Duong Customs Department detected and handled 985 violations, an increase of 145 cases compared to the same period in 2022. The value of infringing goods is estimated at nearly VND176 billion. Of which, tax arrears were more than VND135 billion and fines for administrative violations were nearly VND42 billion. The main violations were importing with wrong origin, importing without declaration, exporting with wrong container numbers...

The application of goods inspection through scanners has brought many practical benefits to import and export activities in the area, especially for businesses with large amounts of import and export goods. This work continues to assist businesses in shortening customs clearance time, reducing loading/unloading costs, improving legal compliance, promptly detecting violations and effectively combating smuggling and trade fraud.
