Early April 21, provincial Committee for Cultural and Social Affairs and Tan Uyen district’s Red Cross Society visited and presented nearly 400 gifts to poor households in four communes of Tan Binh, Binh My, Hoi Nghia and Vinh Tan (photo).

 This is an annual activity made by provincial Committee for Cultural and Social Affairs to partially help the poor overcome difficulties and rise up in life, according to committee head Mai Thi Dung. The total cost of these gifts was estimated at nearly VND50mln, funded by organizations and individuals across the province.

 The same day, Tan Uyen district’s Red Cross Society and Ben San Lepers’ Hospital also provided free medical check-ups and medicine for more than 200 poor people in the district.
