Nearly VND4bln spent on building “great unity” houses for needy people

Provincial Department of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs (DoLISA), on December 26, held a conference to review its activities in 2014.

Reportedly, the whole province in 2014 generated jobs for 94,662 laborers; gave financial support for 58,717 jobless cases; opened vocational training classes for 21,114 people. The local sector of labor, war invalids and social affairs also got involved in building 12 “great unity” houses for those with difficult circumstances with a total expense of nearly VND4bln; effectively carried out the movement of “Paying gratitude of debt”…

Addressing the conference, Tran Thanh Liem, Vice-Chairman of provincial People’s Committee praised the efforts by the sector’s staff while suggesting provincial DoLISA to closely coordinate with relevant agencies to give provincial People’s Committee advice on plans implementing some national target programs; improve vocational training methods at society’s demand; take good care of policy beneficiary families and revolutionary contributors; well control over drug addicts who have been undergoing detoxification treatment.

On this occasion, Pham Thi Ngoc Dung, Head of the Social Support Division under provincial DoLISA was awarded the third-class Labor Medal. Six other individuals were also awarded the certificates of merit of Prime Minister.
