*On the occasion of the Tet (Lunar New Year) festival 2018, Tan Uyen town’s Center for Information and Sports will coordinate with the town’s Labor Union to organize an art performance in celebration of the Lunar New Year 2018 in residential areas.

The two units are expected to present 800 Tet gifts to workers with difficult circumstances.

*The organizing board of Ben Cat town’s Project on gathering and uniting young workers has just forwarded a conference to partially sum up its activities in 2017.

Last year, the steering boards at all levels well realized a task of taking care of young workers’ lives via such significant activities as presenting Tet gifts, organizing cultural-sports programs…

As of late 2017, the town set up 265 sub-unions with more than 8,000 members, maintained 17 sub-unions for alien youths…

*Phu Giao district last year mobilized organizations and individuals to build 12 “great unity” houses and 9 “red cross” houses for poor households with a total expense of more than VND850million; considered and provided loans for 39 poor houses and 350 near-poor ones…As a result, the number of poor households in the district reduced to 173 or 0.79% of total.

In 2018, the district will further coordinate with sectors and authorities at all levels to carry out policies on social welfare…
