On construction sites
As a rural district, infrastructure projects for new rural construction receive good investment from the district government, from rural road traffic to schools, medical centers, culture and sports projects... These works are accelerated in order to contribute to the district’s task completion for new rural construction.
In the last days of the year 2022, workers at the construction site of Tan Dinh Junior High School (Tan Dinh commune), do their works hurriedly. On the construction site, all kinds of materials, such as iron, steel, sand, stone and cement, were gathered to serve construction items, surrounded by excavators, iron cutters, belt breakers, trucks etc. that ran at its full capacity. The sound of construction machinery, workers’ laughs and chats created a lively atmosphere throughout the construction site.
Ho Van Hung, the project manager, happily said that they are carrying out underground works, pouring concrete columns, and completing sub-items such as: fence and gate.
Started in October 2022, according to the plan, the project will be completed and put into use in February 2024. In order to ensure the progress is on schedule, currently the workers are taking turns working over weekends and overtime every day.
“During the construction process, we also faced difficulties, but everyone tried their best not to affect the progress. At this time, underground parts are very deep, the volume of soil excavated is a lot.
To overcome the difficulties, instead of digging all foundations of buildings, we will dig each area individually, alternately, so that the progress will not be affected. Digging at the same time will lead to a lot of soil dug up, unexpected rains will affect the project structure", said Hung.
Phan Van Thuong, born in Tra Vinh, a worker in charge of iron processing, said kindly: “We are trying our utmost to complete the work. Tet is approaching, we are urgently than ever to finishing the work to enjoy the peaceful spring with our family after a year of hard work."
