North Tan Uyen is changing

According to leaders of North Tan Uyen district, since early this year, the local socio-economic situation has continued reaching stable development. There were additional 2 communes Tan Binh and Hieu Liem meeting all 19 criteria of the new rural construction program, bringing the total number of the district’s new rural communes to 7.

Stable economic development

Particularly, as of late September, the district’s value of agro-forestry production posted more than VND1.4trillion, up 3.82% compared to last year’s corresponding period. The district’s task of vaccination in poultry and cattle was ensured. There were additional 2 communes Tan Binh and Hieu Liem meeting all 19 criteria of the new rural construction program, bringing the total number of the district’s new rural communes to 7.

 Over the past time, North Tan Uyen district’s socio-economic situation changed very quickly

The district’s value of industrial and home industrial production was estimated at more than VND2.01trillion, up 11.62% against last year’s corresponding period. Four industrial parks and compounds in the district also absorbed additional 22 projects. The district’s total retail value of commodities and services reached more than VND1.35trillion, up 12.74% over last year’s same period. The district’s total State budget collection gained VND683.5billion or 96% of the year’s estimate.

The district also set up additional 2 cooperatives, lifting the total number of cooperatives herein up 9 with 68 members. But now, there are 4 with inefficient operation and they are making procedures for dissolution.

Putting focus on main tasks

From now till year-end, North Tan Uyen district has determined 11 main tasks, including focusing on reforming administrative procedures; boosting socialization of infrastructure facilities; making public healthcare in association with ensuring social welfare; seriously penalizing wrong cases on environment, food safety and hygiene…The district has also suggested 3 groups of issues to the province for consideration and settlement. They comprise of planning and expanding the district’s administration center; strengthening investment for traffic projects, historical relics and cultural works in the district.

At a meeting on the district’s socio-economic development over the past nine months, representatives of some relevant agencies said that once being completed, the district’s main street will contribute to promoting the local socio-economic development. Hence, the effectiveness of connection for streets at all levels of the district needs to be ensured.

In addition, the district needs to pay attention to surveying, classifying breeding facilities in order to prevent environmental pollution. The district’s area of planting fruit trees is being developed in association with hi-tech models. The district needs to have an appropriate traffic system, creating favorable conditions for production in association with ecotourism and new rural construction.  

Mai Hung Dung, member of provincial Party Standing Committee, Permanent Vice-Chairman of provincial People’s Committee said that the district’s infrastructure system has so far reached good development. The district has absorbed more investors and the lives of locals have also been improved. The district needs to have deliberation between policies and demands to uphold the effectiveness of investment projects and avoid State budget wastefulness in the current difficult context. Relevant agencies also need to consider and soon deal with suggestions by the district. Meanwhile, the district needs to attach special importance to administrative reform.
