On Feb. 2, Tran Van Nam, chairman of the provincial People’s Committee paid a courtesy reception to Luong Quang Trung, chairman of Taipei division of Culture-Economics in Ho Chi Minh city and reps of Taiwan Business Association in Vietnam and Taiwan Business Society in Binh Duong province.
At the reception, the provincial leaders briefed the guests on local economic situation 2014, especially FDI attraction at over US$1.6bil.
This result lifted the provincial FDI capital up to US$20.4bil, helping Binh Duong become into one of the country’s 5 localities surpassing FDI capital attraction level of US$20bil. Among the capital, Taiwan accounts for over 600 projects worth investment capital of more than US$4.6bil, ranking second in investment capital among 39 nations and territories investing in Binh Duong province.
Luong Quang Trung, head of Taipei division of Culture-Economics in Ho Chi Minh city highly appreciated Binh Duong’s growth and extended thanks to local leaders for offering favorable conditions to Taiwanese enterprises’ investment. In addition, he added that with local leaders’ motivation and perfection of infrastructure facility, Binh Duong would continue to attract many Taiwanese enterprises in the coming time.
