Orphans and disable children taken care of

For years, charity drives in Binh Duong Province have supported orphans and disable children to help them integrate into the community, inspiring charity work of individuals, units, and social community. Kind-hearted persons grant scholarships and bikes to orphans and disable children in 2012 For five years, total funds for orphans and disable children have reached VND 25 billion mainly donated by sectors, agencies, units, enterprises and individuals. Recently on June 19, 360 scholarship packages and 200 bikes at the cost of VND 550 million in a joint action of Thanh Le Import and Export Co. Ltd., charity board of provincial Buddhism Association, provincial Fatherland Front Committee, and 15 units and individuals. They brought smiles to children. “Their dreams are now winged to fly high by our help,” said Mrs. Nguyen Thi Dien as President of Association for Support of Orphans and Disables. “We are taking good care of the younger generation so that they could contribute more to the social community later on,” said Senior Monk Thich Hue Thong – Head of Administrative Affairs of provincial Buddhism Assocation. Meantime, Deputy Chairman of Provincial People’s Committee, Mr. Huynh Van Nhi confirmed activities supporting children by donation from social community. We could not describe our feelings seeing happy smiles of the blind children who kept holding the gifts. Disadvantaged children are still arround and they need supports of the community. Thus, Mr. Huynh Van Nhi stressed: “The provincial authority calls upon enterprises and kind-hearted people to take more care of orphans and disable children to overcome hardship in life”.
