Outstanding blood donors honored

Early August 9, provincial Red Cross Society held the 10^th conference honoring outstanding blood donors; reviewed its activities in the first half of 2019 and the Humanitarian Month 2019, in attendance of Dang Minh Hung, Vice-Chairman of provincial People’s Committee, Head of provincial Steering Board of Voluntary Blood Donation.

Over the past six months, the society’s movements and tasks continued being maintained with the set targets basically fulfilled. The society’s total value for social charity activities was more than VND64.47billion, offering help to 298,895 people. The society and its branches also effectively realized the Humanitarian Month 2019…

Addressing the conference, Mr.Hung praised results done by the society and its branches as well as contributions by donors to them over the past time. He also said that provincial Red Cross Society and Steering Board of Humanitarian Blood Donation needed to further improve their activities towards socialization; focus on well realizing the movement of “Tet for the poor and Agent Orange victims”…

On this occasion, provincial Steering Board of Humanitarian Blood Donation honored 121 families, individuals with 20, 30, 40 and 50 times of blood donation in 2019 and 176 outstanding individuals, collectives in the local voluntary blood donation mobilization last year.
