Outstanding women in Di An honored

Di An town’s Women’s Union has just forwarded a conference to honor outstanding women on the occasion of the 105^th anniversary of International Women’s Day and the 1,975^th anniversary of the two Trung sisters’ Uprising.

This was also a chance for the local Women’s Union to review the implementation of the patriotic emulation movement and other movements among cadres and members in the period of 2010 and 2015.

Outstanding members awarded the certificates of merit of provincial People’s Committee

Three great campaigns, namely “Women actively study, creatively work and build up happy families”, “Studying and following late President Ho Chi Minh’s exemplary morals”, “Building up families with 5 No-s and 3 Clean-s” absorbed a large number of the local women over the past time. There was an increase in the number of members. Many practical models, namely “Raising piggybank”, “Charity rice jar”…, also upheld their efficiency.

Over the past time, the town’s Women’s Unions at all levels mobilized organizations and individuals to build and upgrade 23 houses of compassion, saved more than VND1.3bln from the “Raising piggybank” model. There were also more than 5,000 members getting loans for economic development.

On this occasion, 13 members were awarded the mementoes “For the advance of women” of the Central Committee of Vietnam Women’s Union. 50 members were also awarded the certificates of merit of provincial People’s Committee and the town’s People’s Committee for their excellent performance in the local women’s movements between 2010 and 2015.
