In the first half of 2010, provincial Oriental Medicine Association and its affiliates provided medical check-ups for 223,041 patients, up 5% compared to the corresponding period of last year. They also donated 197,762 oriental medicines worth more than VND700mln for needy patients.

Luong Tan Thong, chairman of provincial Oriental Medicine Association said: “So far, there have been 89 communes, wards and township with oriental medicine branches... Provincial Oriental Medicine Association now has a research subject on how to treat the diseases of high cholesterol and lipid in the blood by Vietnamese medicines”.
