Both patients were diagnosed with out-of-hospital cardiac arrest and acute ST-segment elevation myocardial infarction. By applying the method of stent placement in the coronary artery, after 2 days, the patients were weaned off the ventilator; their clinical indicators stabilized, and their cardiac function almost completely recovered.
