Phu Giao, Bau Bang, Thuan An mark 63rd anniversary of Vietnamese Physicians’ Day

Early February 27, Phu Giao district’s People’s Committee held a ceremony to mark the 63^rd anniversary of Vietnamese Physicians’ Day (February 27, 1955-February 27, 2018).

At the ceremony, delegates reviewed the glorious tradition of Vietnam’s healthcare sector. Upholding this tradition, the district’s healthcare sector last year provided medical examination for more than 211,000 people or 100.8% of the year’s plan. There were more than 6,000 people under inpatient treatment or 82.5% of the year’s plan. The sector also excelled at realizing national target programs against social diseases and HIV/AIDS while attaching special importance to population and family planning. The rate of malnourished children under 5 in the district reduced to below 3.03%....

On this occasion, Do Thanh Liem, Head of the Emergency Ward under the district’s Health Center was awarded the certificate of merit of the Prime Minister. Provincial Department of Health and the district’s People’s Committee also honored 6 collectives and 74 individuals for their excellent performance in 2017.

*The same day, Bau Bang district’s People’s Committee organized a get-together to mark the 63^rd anniversary of Vietnamese Physicians’ Day (February 27, 1955-February 27, 2018).

Despite facing difficulties, the district’s healthcare sector well fulfilled entrusted tasks over the past time. The district’s public healthcare last year reached 118% of the set target. Besides, the sector attached special importance to preventing epidemic diseases. All staff of the sector seriously implemented entrusted tasks under Uncle Ho’s teaching “a good doctor is like an affectionate mother”…

On this occasion, provincial Department of Health awarded the certificates of merit to 12 collectives and 7 individuals winning the “emulation soldier” title at grassroots level in 2017. The district’s People’s Committee also held a groundbreaking ceremony for construction of the district’s Health Center with 100 beds.

*On the afternoon of February 26, Thuan An town’s Health Center held a get-together to mark the 63^rd anniversary of Vietnamese Physicians’ Day (February 27, 1955-February 27, 2018).

At the get-together, delegates reviewed the glorious tradition of the sector and heard Uncle Ho’s letter sending to the sector.

The center now has a total of 496 staff, 32 departments and health stations with 250 beds. In 2017, the center provided medical examination for 603,421 people or 100.57% of the year’s plan. There were 19,439 people under inpatient treatment or 106.52% of the year’s plan.

On this occasion, provincial Department of Health awarded the certificates of merit to 2 collectives and 48 individuals for their excellent achievements in 2017.
