Phu Giao, Di An to hold get-together celebrating the 71st anniversary of Vietnam People's Army’s foundation day

Morning Dec 21, Phu Giao district Military Command held a get-together to commemorate the 71^st anniversary of Vietnam People's Army’s foundation day (Dec 22^nd 1944 – Dec 22^nd 2015) and 26^th anniversary of National Defense Day.

At the ceremony, the participants reviewed the glorious tradition of Vietnam People's Army. Over 71 years of fighting, constructing and maturing under the Party flag, people’s armed forces made great successes, build up the glorious tradition “our army be loyal to the Party, respectful to the people,  willing to fight and sacrifice for independence and freedom of our country, for socialism, completing all tasks, defeating all enemies”.

Upholding this tradition, after more than 15 years of Phu Giao district’s reestablishment, the district socio-economic condition made a positive progress, defense - security was maintained. In 2015, economic growth hit 12.52%, economic structure shifted in the right direction. The consolidation of reserve forces, militia forces, enlistment achieved targets; the mass movement of national security protection kept growing. During 2015, 74 collectives, 164 individuals were awarded certificates of merits in performing military tasks.

* On the same day, Di An town Party Committee – People’s Committee held a meeting of retired military officers, cadres of Di An 3rd Battalion, town Military Command on occasion of celebrating the 71^st Vietnam People's Army’s foundation anniversary.
