Phu My Ward’s women association in Thu Dau Mot Town takes care of female workers living in hostels

The women association in Phu My Ward, Thu Dau Mot Town has committed to gathering and educating female workers living in hostels to support them spiritually.

Public security in Phu My Ward is at risk for increasing establishments of factories and companies which hire more and more immigrating workers. As the matter of fact, the association has gathered female workers to offer accessible sources of law books and take care of their spiritual life by organizing art performing events. on the basis of project “to enhance unity among young workers”, the association has surveyed hostels and status of female workers in enterprises. “Our survey has exposed many difficuties facing female workers,” said Ms. Nguyen Thi Thanh Thuy – local association chairperson. However, they have succeeded in gathering people up for education and propaganda.

The also offer information of children care and vaccination and loans to local female workers who, then, will be encouraged to participate into movements. Thus, the local initial 35-member association has been expanded into 140-member association.

“We have not time for movements but for working only; however, I am very pleased that people are taking care of us,” said an association member.
