Plenary session on ASEAN community building

In the framework of the Horasis Asia Meeting 2019, a plenary session with the theme of “ASEAN community building”  took place on the afternoon of November 25, which was chaired by Cod Satrysayang, editorial director of the Asia News Network in Thailand, in attendance of Dang Minh Hung, Vice-Chairman of provincial People’s Committee.

At the plenary session, delegates focused on discussing some issues such as how to develop ASEAN countries; challenges and potential; opportunities for investors. Mr.Cod Satrusayang said that the ASEAN community’s economy is on robust growth with diversification in terms of ethnic groups. Currently, the ASEAN community is in the right direction on cooperation, but faces some problems on competitiveness. Hence, ASEAN countries need to meet and discuss for better development. With diverse culture, they also need to have mutual support and overcome nationalism.   

Concluding the event, he stressed that delegated raised challenges together with significant solutions, contributing to promoting the ASEAN community.
