Preliminarily summing-up conference of “Food Safety Year of agricultural sector in 2015"

Morning Jan 6, provincial Department of Agriculture and Rural Development held a preliminary conference to sum up “Food Safety Year of agricultural sector in 2015" and launch the peak for food safety during Lunar New Year in 2016.

In 2015, specialized branches monitored main agricultural products of the province and products of other localities selling in the province. Specialized branches monitored 128 production facilities and 1,266 agricultural product samples. In particular, the rate of monitored sample with microbial contamination in cattle and poultry meat exceeded 57.14%, down 11% compared with 2014; the rate of monitored sample with excess pesticide residues in vegetables was 0.62%; the rate of monitored sample with banned chemical residues in meat products was 3.52%; and there were no samples with antibiotic residues.

At the conference, Department of Agriculture and Rural Development awarded certificates of merit to 4 collectives and 2 individuals making many contributions to ensuring food safety.
