Press Law disseminated for 150 officials and correspondents

Provincial Department of Information and Communications yesterday held a conference to extend the 2016 Press Law for more than 150 officials, correspondents and editors from press agencies, radio stations, divisions of culture and information across the province.

With 6 chapters and 61 provisions, the 2016 Press Law stipulates the right to freedom of the press; citizens’ right to freedom of speech in the press; press organizations and activities; rights and duties of agencies, organizations and individuals involving press activities; and State management of the press…

The revised law took effect on January 1, 2017. And the conference aimed to help journalists and press agencies work under the law.
