Project of Livelihood support – ox breeding for people with disabilities, orphans

Protection Association for disabled people, orphans and poor patients has recently presented Livelihood support – cow breeding project to 6 households of people with disabilities, orphans and poor patients in Phuoc Sang commune, Phu Giao district. The project includes 6 breeding cows worth VND150 million sponsored by Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee - provincial Standing Committee of "Day for the poor" campaign.

Up to now, total number of breeding cows managed by Protection Association for disabled people, orphans and poor patients is 88, of which 51 cows are the original capital and the 37 cows are periodically turnaround capital. Thus, from 2011 until now, the Association has provided livelihood support for 14 communes to build new rural areas with mobilized fund of more than VND1.6 billion with cow, pig, chicken breeding programs, scholarship programs, bicycle, gift giving to poor patients, donating wheelchairs, clean water project… A total of 323 households (including 95 disabled households, 113 orphans and 115 poor families) and 610 people with disabilities, orphans and poor patients are benefited from these projects.
