Promoting emulation movement of skillful, creative labor

“Skillful, creative labor” is a emulation movement launched by provincial Labor Federation has been concretized into movements in accordance with characteristics of each sector, and has attracted the participation of thousands of workers. From these movements, many excellent collectives, individuals have emerged and embodied the will to better themselves of labors and employees.

Many excellent examples

24-year-old Ngo Minh Trieu, an employee of International household appliances manufacturing company in Song Than I IP, is the best worker in operating labeling machines at his company. His excellent work has contributed to meeting 100% of production target, consolidating product quality, decreasing label shrinkage by 0.18% (allowed shrinkage is 0.5%). Trieu has also involved in training for many operators to meeting work requirements, thereby decreasing from 40 hours / ton in 2014 to 26 hours / ton, saving more than VND600 million; increasing operational skills and, , reducing waiting times of machines.

Le Anh Kim (born 1986), an employee of Vinh Khanh Plastic Cable JSC, is the Manager of ISO and Environment division. She was praised for putting forward the initiative to improve the working environment in PVC factory. She offered to reorganize additive mixing area and reinstall dust recovery system in order to reduce dust emission during mixing ingredients and recover powder losses, helping to improve production environment and save costs of material recovery.

Ms. Le My Hanh, teacher of Thanh Tuyen Thanh Tuyen in Dau Tieng district, also has many initiatives. From the 2011-2012 to the 2013-2014 school year, Hanh had 3 initiatives achieving provincial B rank. These were projects of “"Using intuitive methods to create history symbols to engrave knowledge and traditional education for pupils in grades 6", “"Organizing a fieldtrip on Thanh Tuyen local history”, and “Using mind-maps to engrave knowledge for pupils in grades 8 as studying chapter III – World history”. She is now planning for many ideas to make dry history lessons become a funny learning ground for pupils”.

Through emulation movements, Binh Duong has 6 individuals conferred certificates of merit by the Prime Minister; 2 individuals are nominated for merit certificates of the Prime Minister; and 1 individual is nominated for Labor Medal of the Prime Minister. Mr. Le Van Hieu said: “I feel so honored to receive certificate of merit from the Prime Minister. This will be a motivation for me to continue dedicating myself to the development of company and province”.

“Talking” numbers

In order for the movement “Skillful, creative labor” to become more useful, provincial Labor Federation and branches have concretized the emulation content into practical movements in accordance with specific sectors. Within the public servants, officials bloc, the movement has been integrated into the campaign to cultivate "Loyal, creative, dedicated, exemplary" public servants. Educational sector has the movement of "Good teaching, good learning”, scientific research, initiatives to enhance the quality of teaching and learning. Business bloc has initiatives to innovate technology, save material costs, improve production efficiency…

Emulation movements of educational sector has had 129 meritorious teachers, 149 teachers achieving provincial emulation soldier title, and 1,916 teachers achieving emulation soldier title at grassroots level during the last 5 years. There were 5,265 recognized sectoral initiatives to improve teaching aids. In health sector, there were 3 people doctors, 34 meritorious doctors, 562 scientific researches, 162 initiatives.

Within the business bloc, emulation movements have attracted a large number of participants, brought 2,770 works worth over VND950 billion of profits, 7,629 initiatives from workers, benefiting businesses with more than VND200.6 billion. Among these, there were 30 projects commended by Vietnam General Labor Confederation. Some prominent units were Binh Duong Lottery Company, provincial Post Office, Scancom Vietnam Company…

Mr. Tran Trong Lam, Deputy Director of provincial Department of Home Affairs, Head of provincial Emulation – Commendation board, said, the movement “Skillful, creative labor” among public servants has developed robustly and attracted a large number of participants. Projects, initiatives of collectives and individuals have demonstrates not only capabilities, creativeness of employees but also the working spirit of all officials, thereby improving production efficiency, work quality at units.

In order to enhance more deeply and widely the movement, Mr. Bui Thanh Nhan, Vice Chairman of provincial Labor Federation, said, in the future, they would continue improving the quality and effectiveness of the movement, contributing to the completion of company targets, action programs of localities, units; simultaneously innovating content, form, method to to improve the quality of patriotic emulation movements, performing seriously monitoring, summarizing emulation movements, detecting excellent collectives and individuals to commend and cultivate…
