On the afternoon of August 19, the 10th Standing Committee of provincial People’s Council held its 31st session to review and provide opinions on contents within its jurisdiction. The session was chaired by Nguyen Van Loc, Member of provincial Party Standing Committee and Chairman of provincial People's Council.
At the session, representatives of provincial People's Committee presented proposals for the development of resolutions on criteria for deciding on the bidding process to select contractors for investment projects that involve land use in the province; land policies for ethnic minorities residing in Binh Duong province; amendments to the Clause 1 of the Article 1 of provincial People’s Council’s Resolution No. 11/2021/NQ-HĐND dated September 14, 2021, on regarding the standard levels of social allowances and social protection policies for certain specific groups in the province; regulations on the content and expenditure levels for implementing legal dissemination, legal access standards and grassroots mediation in the province.
At the session, provincial People's Council’s committees on Legal Affairs, Economic-Budget Affairs and Cultural-Social Affairs reported on their reviews of issues related to economic-budget, legal and cultural-social fields. The delegates also discussed, analyzed, contributed opinions to some related issues. They agreed with a proposal of setting up the above-mentioned resolutions that are essential at practical needs.
Concluding the session, Mr. Loc agreed to allow provincial People's Committee to set up the above-mentioned four resolutions. He also requested provincial People's Committee to consider the delegates' opinions and direct relevant agencies to promptly draft these resolutions, ensuring compliance with legal procedures. The draft resolutions should be completed and submitted for review and approval at the upcoming session of provincial People’s Council under a streamlined process.
