Proposing solutions to remove bottlenecks in local administrative reform

On the afternoon of October 4, Dr. Ngo Hai Phan, Director General of the Government Office's Administrative Procedure Control Department had a working session with Binh Duong province’s delegation, led by Nguyen Van Loi, Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of provincial Party Committee, Head of provincial National Assembly deputy delegation. The event was also attended by Nguyen Loc Ha, Member of provincial Party Standing Committee, Vice-Chairman of provincial People's Committee.

Reportedly, as of late September 2023, under a set of indexes approved by the Prime Minister’s Decision No. 766/QD-TTg on the direction, administration and assessment of the quality of service to people and businesses in implementing administrative procedures and public services with real time in the electronic environment published on the National Public Service Portal, Binh Duong province has reached 73.4 out of 100 points, ranking 17^th among 63 provinces and cities nationwide. Notably, the satisfaction index group from people and businesses reached 17.7 out of 18 points on the scale. Regarding the provincial governance and public administration performance index in Vietnam (PAPI), Binh Duong has ranked 2^nd among 63 provinces and cities nationwide for 2 consecutive years. Especially, Binh Duong has been in the Top 7 communities with the world’s typical smart city development strategies for 3 consecutive years.

At the working session, Dr. Ngo Hai Phan said that Binh Duong needs a solution to promote digitalization as well as synchronizing data between the national population database, specialized information systems and data warehouses on the National Public Service Portal for data reuse; build and upgrade online public services in compliance with the principle of taking people as the center; innovate the "one-stop shop" department to support and guide people in performing public services and promote the role of Project No.06 Group in the community...

Mr. Loi said that Binh Duong province will acquire and soon deploy solutions to remove bottlenecks, contributing to improving the local administrative procedure reform index, with the purpose of better serving people and businesses.
