Province attaches special importance to traffic safety propaganda

Update: 18-10-2012 | 00:00:00

Since early this year, provincial War Veterans’ Society, Women’s Union, Youth Union, Labor Union and many other mass organizations have great contributed to minimizing traffic accidents via the propaganda work in response to the Traffic Safety Year. Many propaganda activities on traffic safety have brought positive results and have been further maintained.

Provincial Women’s Union has contributed to minimizing traffic accidents through many substantial propaganda activities, including organizing contests on the Law on Road Traffic; setting up a club on traffic safety with 17 members in TDM city and 8 women’s clubs on traffic safety with 265 members…In addition, provincial Women’s Union has regularly called for small traders and people not to disorder pavements.

In the first nine months of 2012, provincial War Veterans’ Society coordinated with other mass organizations to organize talk shows on traffic safety among members; honored model streets managed by war veterans; organized registration not to infringe traffic order and safety among members; mobilized small traders not to disorder pavements…

Provincial Youth Union also organized a ceremony to launch the Traffic Safety Year 2012 at Tan Phuoc Khanh high school in Tan Uyen district earlier this year, with the participation of more than 1,000 students and pupils…Apartedly, provincial Youth Union held a program entitled “Binh Duong’s traffic moments in 2012”, absorbing the participation of more than 1,000 Youth Union members and locals. The competition featured many significant activities, including organizing a photo exhibition on traffic safety; setting up a youth volunteer squad on education of traffic safety; organizing games on the Law on Road Traffic; honoring 30 individuals for their excellent achievements in the task of propagandizing and keeping traffic safety…

Noticeably, provincial Youth Union has attached special importance to legal consultancy for young workers under the Project of “Raising young workers’ awareness of the law”. In the first nine months of 2012, provincial Youth Union organized 12 mobile legal programs on traffic safety and marriage-family for nearly 1,800 people.

Sectors and departments have also paid attention to propagandizing the Law on Road Traffic among workers. Since early this year, provincial Trade Unions at all levels have held 44 propaganda shows on the Law on Road Traffic for more than 17,000 workers. The Trade Unions of Ben Cat district, Di An, Thuan An towns and TDM city have excelled at the task.

Possibly speaking, the above propaganda models on traffic safety have brought positive results and they need to be further upheld in the coming time, contributing to minimizing traffic accidents in the province.
