Provincial People's Committee has just issued a plan on vaccination against Covid-19 for the period of 2021-2022. Accordingly, the plan is expected to administer Covid-19 vaccines for more than 1.4 million people over 18 years old, including 255,162 belonging to the priority groups under the Government’s Resolution 21/NQ-CP.

The province has mobilized the most resources from organizations, individuals and businesses with the goal of reaching the rate of over 95% of the population aged 18 and above receiving 2 shots of of Covid-19 vaccine. The plan is implemented across the province. It is estimated that the province needs more than 3.2 million doses of Covid-19 vaccine in the period of 2021-2022. The number of free vaccines under the Government’s Resolution 21/NQ-CP is 561,357 doses for 255,162 people.
In the period of 2021-2022, the province needs to buy more than 2.6 million doses of Covid-19 vaccine with a total cost of about VND 316.8 billion. The cost for vaccination activities is over VND 18.5 billion. For districts, towns and cities having recorded Covid-19 cases in the community, deaths from Covid-19 or high population density and important traffic hubs such as Thuan An city, Thu Dau Mot city, Di An city will be given priority in vaccine distribution.
It is known that in the first and second phase of Covid-19 vaccination, the province administered Covid-19 vaccines for 20,807 people, including 19,076 with first shot and 1,731 with second shot. And there were 6,972 people with normal reactions (accounting for 33.5% of total) and no cases with serious reactions after vaccination. The local health sector has set up a plan deploying the third phase of Covid-19 vaccination with 19,000 doses allocated by the Ministry of Health, in which priority is given to expanding the subjects receiving the first shot to increase vaccine coverage and ensure vaccination capacity on schedule. Beginning from June 17, the local health sector has implemented the third phase of Covid-19 vaccination. So far, there have been 22,625 vaccinated, comprising of 22,266 injected with the first shot, 359 with the second shot; 4,866 with normal reactions (accounting for 21.5% of total) and no cases with serious reactions after injection.
According to the health sector, the province’s maximum vaccination capacity is now 18,000 doses/day. The whole province has 105 public vaccination facilities and 46 private medical facilities that are eligible for vaccination. These vaccination facilities are all trained and experienced in organizing vaccination.
