Province marks 43 years of South Liberation, National Reunification Day

Early April 27, provincial Party Committee, People’s Council, Fatherland Front Committee grandly held a get-together to celebrate the 43rd anniversary of the South Liberation and National Reunification Day (April 30, 1975-April 30, 2018), the 132nd anniversary of International Labor Day (May 1) and the 128th anniversary of President Ho Chi Minh’s birthday (May 19, 1890-May 19, 2018). Attending the event were Tran Van Nam, member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of provincial Party Committee, Head of provincial National Assembly delegation; Pham Van Canh, Permanent Vice-Secretary of provincial Party Committee, Chairman of provincial People’s Council; Tran Thanh Liem, Vice-Secretary of provincial Party Committee, Chairman of provincial People’s Committee; Nguyen Thanh Liem, member of provincial Party Standing Committee, Chairman of provincial Fatherland Front Committee, heroic Vietnamese mothers and leaders of Song Be-Binh Duong over periods.

At the get-together, Tran Thanh Liem, Vice-Secretary of provincial Party Committee, Chairman of provincial People’s Committee delivered a speech reviewing the 43-year history of the South Liberation, National Reunification Day. He said that after 43 years of national liberation and 21 years of construction-development, Binh Duong has constantly risen up and become a locality having high industrialization and modernization speed in the Southern Key Economic Zone, with socio-cultural and economic exploits, bringing a well-off and happy life to the local people. In Q1, 2018 alone, the province continued maintaining a trade surplus of more than US$1billion and absorbed additional US$552million in FDI capital, ranking second nationwide in this field. The province has so far been one of the country’s localities with FDI capital amounting to more than US$30million. The province’s political system continued being strengthened with the great national unity bloc expanded and intensified…

On this occasion, provincial Party Standing Committee awarded the 30-70 year Party membership insignias to Party members. Mai Son Viet, former Chief of Song Be provincial Department of Construction was also awarded the third-class Independence Medal.

*Prior to that, leaders of provincial Party Committee, People’s Council, People’s Committee and Fatherland Front Committee paid wreaths and offered incense to pay tribute to heroic martyrs at provincial Martyrs’ Cemetery.
