Province prioritizes urgent projects for investment

It is necessary to proactively assess the urgency of each project and the province's ability to balance and allocate capital to prioritize projects for execution. That was stressed by Nguyen Loc Ha, Member of Provincial Party Standing Committee, Vice Chairman of Provincial People's Committee, at the meeting reporting on the implementation of investment for some construction works and projects in culture - society fields took place on the afternoon of March 11.

According to a report from provincial Department of Planning and Investment, the total capital of medium-term public investment plan in the period 2021-2025 is more than 69,000 billion VND; of which the capital allocated for cultural and social infrastructure projects is more than 10,000 billion VND, accounting for 14.9% of provincial total public investment capital. Education - Training and vocational training is the field that has the largest number, including 126 projects with over 6,619 billion VND; followed by public health-care including 25 projects, with a capital of nearly 2,500 billion VND. Recently, the province has invested in the direction of prioritizing capital sources for key projects.

At the meeting, departments and localities agreed on the public investment portfolio for the 2021-2025 period, and proposed that the province pays attention to balancing public investment capital between the cultural - social infrastructure and other fields. In addition, the delegates also proposed that the province consider adding some school construction projects, purchasing tables, chairs, and teaching equipment to meet the requirements of the new general education program.

Concluding the meeting, Ha asked sectors and localities to quickly have detailed plans, proposals and recommendations to submit to Provincial People's Committee for consideration and appropriate arrangements. Departments and localities need to proactively consider and assess the urgency of each project and the province's ability to balance capital allocation to prioritize projects for timely implementation, ensuring the general development goal of the province.
