Province’s GDP in 2006-2010 period rises by 14%

According to a report of provincial Department of Planning and Investment at the 93rd session of provincial People’s Council, the province’s total GDP in the 2006 and 2010 period reached an average growth rate of 14%. The province’s economic structure shifted towards industry (63%), services (32.6%) and agriculture (4.4%). The GDP per capita of the province reached VND30.1mln; there were 46,800 laborers getting jobs; the ratio of trained laborers achieved 60%...

 Many delegates participating the session said that in addition to socio-economic achievements, there were still a lot of shortcomings for change between 2006 and 2010. Particularly, the province did not fulfill some targets on GDP growth, export value, the ratio of junior high schools and primary schools nationally standardized the ratio of communes and wards with cultural institutions…

 As planned, from 2011 to 2015, the province will strive to reach GDP growth at 13.5% or 14% with its economic structure towards the quick growth of services. By 2015, the province will have an economic structure with the proportion of industry at 59%, services at 38% and agriculture at 3%.
