Amid the economic recession in the world in general and in the country in particular, production and business of enterprises under Binh Duong Association of Importers and Exporters were impacted significantly. Facing the situation, in the 2011-2014 tenure, the association set out action plans to help members overcome difficulties.
Timely information for enterprises
Until now, Binh Duong Association of Importers and Exporters has gathered the participation of nearly 200 enterprises. In order to adequately offer information on instructions and policies for leaders, cadres of enterprises, the association maps actively out training programs to help them update information, contributing to improve efficiency of production and business.
In the past year, the association in cooperation with Viet Ich Trade and Construction Joint Stock Company, the Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry (VCCI)’s HCM city branch, Binh Duong Customs Department successfully organized programs of guidance on direct practice of registration, installment and customs declaration on VNACCS/VCIS; learned about roadmap of tax cutting under free trade agreements. Especially, programs of legal dissemination and reply of problems of customs procedures between Binh Duong Association of Importers & Exporters and Binh Duong Customs Department are highly appreciated by members.
Through these programs, enterprises are disseminated and offered information on customs procedure declaration and enjoy assistance of functional agencies as well as implement rights and obligations relating to customs law. Also from these programs, the association weekly often sends bulletins for enterprises.
Nguyen Van Ky, Director of Ky Nguyen Viet Company in Vinh Phu ward, Thuan An town said that the association has over the past years held many seminars on new policies for enterprises, facilitating importers and exporters’ implementation of legal obligation. “Training classes on tax declaration help our company excel our obligation. In addition, through the association, our company bravely reflects shortcomings relating to tax and customs, so our problems are solved rapidly by the provincial Tax and Customs Bureaus”, Ky added.
Besides, the association collects information from the local department of Trade and Industry, VCCI’s HCMC branch, Binh Duong Customs Department to send enterprises as well as synthesizes enterprises’ shortcomings and difficulties to send functional agencies for resettlement.
Connecting enterprises
Over the past years, Binh Duong Association of Importers and Exporters made coherence among members, promoting their development. The association also connected members with functional agencies via many programs.
Pham Van Xo, Chairman of Binh Duong Association of Importers and Exporters said that the association last year worked with VCCI’s HCM city branch, Binh Duong Customs Department, the Ministry of Industry and Trade’s Export and Import Management Department in Binh Duong, Binh Duong Tax Department to organize dialogues between members and relevant agencies. This aimed to help members solve their difficulties.
Members also had the chance to meet and share mutual experience in export and import activities through seminars organized by the association. In addition, the association in the last tenure of 2011-2014 provided members with support in terms of sci-tech transfer, management experience, trade promotion…; took part in making legal policies and programs of the province.
Possibly speaking, the association’s support programs has met the demand of the local economic development as well as the business community. The association has just successfully organized its congress for the 2015-2018 tenure. Pham Van Xo continued being elected as Chairman of the association.
For the next tenure, the association will put focus on helping members broaden their specialist knowledge; provide them with necessary information about export-import activities…
