On the afternoon of December 15, provincial Customs Department held a conference to review its activities in 2022, deploy tasks and plans for 2023. Attending the conference were Nguyen Van Danh, Vice-Chairman of provincial People's Committee and Nguyen Van Tho, Deputy General Director of the General Department of Customs.

In 2022, despite facing many difficulties and challenges, the province’s import and export situation was relatively stable. With its efforts in predicting the situation, developing and implementing effective plans, so far, provincial Customs Department has basically completed the key tasks of 2022 as planned. Specifically, the unit’s total State budget revenue from import-export activities as of December 10 was more than VND 18.62 trillion, or 104% of the estimated target in 2022. In 2023, provincial Customs Department will be assigned total State budget revenue of VND20.2 trillion by the Ministry of Finance and provincial People's Council. The target that the General Department of Customs is expected to assign the unit more than VND21.21 trillion.
Speaking at the conference, Mr. Danh highly appreciated and praised the comprehensive results achieved by provincial Customs Department in 2022. To ensure the completion of the objectives and tasks in 2023, he proposed provincial Customs Department to continue promoting the reform of administrative procedures and customs modernization, creating favorable conditions for enterprises; strongly apply information technology into all operational stages to further shorten the time of customs clearance, reduce costs for enterprises...
On this occasion, authorized by the State President, Mr. Danh and Mr. Tho awarded the second-class Labor Medal to the collective of the unit’s Information Technology Department; the third-class Labor Medals to the collective of Risk Management Department and 2 individuals, namely Nguyen Thanh Thien of Song Than Customs Branch and Huynh Trinh Thanh, Thu Dau Mot Customs Branch while awarding the certificates of merit from the Prime Minister to 2 collectives and 8 individuals with excellent achievements in the period of 2017-2021.
