Provincial DoCST awarded PM’s emulation banner

Provincial Department of Culture-Sports and Tourism (DoCST), on January 23, held a conference to review its activities in 2017 and implement orientations, tasks for 2018, in attendance of Dang Minh Hung, Vice-Chairman of provincial People’s Committee.

Last year, the sector actively boosted propaganda activities in celebration of great holidays and events of the nation and the locality, including the ceremony marking the 20^th anniversary of the local development, the 2^nd national “Don ca tai tu” (southern folk music) festival 2017, the Project on Binh Duong smart city development…The sector also instructed relevant units to make tourism promotion activities and design tours; preserve and uphold the value of national cultural heritage value. In terms of sports, the sector sent many delegations to intentional and national tournaments, bringing the province 792 various medals.

Speaking at the conference, Mr.Hung praised achievements done by the sector last year while suggesting that the sector needs to pay attention to tourism development, especially ecological and craft village tourism. Along with this, the sector needs to further develop cultural-sports playgrounds for the local people, including workers.

On this occasion, provincial DoCST was awarded the emulation banner of the PM in 2016 and the emulation banner of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism in 2017. The Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism presented the certificates of merit to 6 collectives and 2 individuals for their excellent achievements in 2017. In addition, many outstanding collectives and individuals received the certificates of merit of provincial Center for Culture-Movie and DoCST.
