Provincial DoIT proposes to start new school year on September 15

On August 30, provincial Department of Education and Training (DoET) submitted a report to provincial Party Standing Committee and People's Committee on the organization of opening ceremony, teaching and learning at the beginning of the 2021-2022 school year.

According to the report, the sector will organize online opening ceremonies of the 2021-2022 new school year on September 15; conduct online teaching from September 16 to October 30. Specifically, primary, secondary and high school pupils will stabilize their classroom routines from September 16 to 18; implement the first semester program from September 20. Online learning is not implemented for pre-school pupils. At this level, pre-schools will compose propaganda contents and set up propaganda video clips, guiding parents to organize activities to nurture, care for and educate children at home.

It is known that provincial DoET 's request to postpone the opening ceremony of the new school year comes from the actual situation of the Covid-19 pandemic in the province. The province is strictly implementing the Prime Minister’s Directive No. 16 until September 15, which has affected the opening of the new school year, teaching and learning of the local teachers and students.

In order to create favorable conditions for teachers to have time to prepare for online teaching, provincial DoET also submitted to provincial People's Committee for the approval of the gradual replacement of teachers who are participating in volunteer forces against Covid-19 prevention and control. F0 cases being isolated at schools requisitioned as concentrated isolation points have been gradually brought to field hospitals so that these schools are sprayed disinfection, repaired in order to welcome pupils from November 1.
