Provincial leaders receive principal of VGU

On the afternoon of May 29, Vo Van Minh, Vice-Secretary of provincial Party Committee, Chairman of provincial People's Committee received and worked with Professor René Thiele, Principal of Vietnamese-German University (VGU) and his delegation. The event was also attended by Nguyen Loc Ha, Member of provincial Party Standing Committee, Vice-Chairman of provincial People's Committee.

At the reception, Mr. Minh said that VGU is a symbol of cooperation between Vietnam and the Federal Republic of Germany. He hopes that in his role, Professor René Thiele will support the province in human resource training, contributing to building Binh Duong into a human resource training center in the Southeastern Region.

Mr. Minh believes that with the quality of training and modern facilities, VGU will quickly achieve its goal of being in the Top 200 universities in the world.

Professor René Thiele, expressed his honor to work for VGU and contribute to cultivating the friendly and cooperative relationship between the two countries. He said that the school was built modernly with the function of ensuring conditions for a research-oriented university under German and international standards.

This is an important foundation for the school to realize its goal of training high-quality human resources to serve the development of the Southeastern region in general and Binh Duong province in particular. According to Professor René Thiele, the school is looking for cooperation in education and technology, strengthening international cooperation to bring common benefits to the school and the province.

At the meeting, leaders of the province and VGU  also discussed a number of cooperation contents in the field of training high-quality human resources, science and technology in the coming time.
