Late June 20, provincial People’s Committee Chairman Le Thanh Cung had a working session with a delegation from the Mekong Delta province of Kien Giang about the two provinces’ investment cooperation in the economic, cultural and social fields. 

At the session, representative of Investment and Industrial Development Corporation (Becamex IDC) presented some experience in building industrial parks (Ips), attracting investment in Ips and Becamex IDC’s project on Phu Quoc island.

Mr.Cung affirmed that after being completed, the project would help Phu Quoc island get a comprehensive development in the economic, cultural and social fields. He also suggested that Kien Giang provincial People’s Committee needed to have a close cooperation with Binh Duong in setting up a group responsible for hastening the implementation of the project; boost economic cooperation between the two provinces.

On behalf of the delegation, Kien Giang provincial People’s Committee Chairman Le Van Thi pledged to create favorable conditions for Becamex IDC to quickly implement the project.
