Provincial leader receives delegations of Urban Promotion-Development Association of Japan’s Aichi prefecture, Daejeon city

On the afternoon of October 4, Mai Hung Dung, Permanent Vice-Chairman of provincial People’s Committee received a delegation of the Urban Promotion-Development Association of Japan’s Aichi prefecture, led by Yamamoto Daisuke.

At the reception, he briefly informed the delegation of the urban development of Binh Duong, especially Binh Duong new city. He also spoke highly of contributions by Japanese enterprises with the amount of capital accounting for more than 10% of the province’s total FDI capital while wanting that the association will call for Japanese enterprises, especially ones in terms of urban construction and production with hi-tech equipment to make investment in the province.

For his part, Mr.Yamamoto Daisuke congratulated Binh Duong on its official membership of the World Technopolis Association (WTA); wished the province success in the organization of the WTA summit 2018.

The two sides also shared mutual experience in terms of urban management and development over the past time and discussed their development in this field in the coming time.

*The same day, Mai Hung Dung, Permanent Vice-Chairman of provincial People’s Committee worked with a delegation of South Korea’s Daejeon city, headed by the city’s Vice Mayor Lee Taek Ku.

At the working session, the two sides exchanged issues on the coordination of organizing events in celebration of the 20^th anniversary of the WTA. Mr.Lee Taek Ku highly appreciated Binh Duong’s preparation for events relating to the WTA and stressed that this is a major event, so leaders of Daejon city will create favorable conditions for Binh Duong to organize it successfully. The city will also actively popularize the image of Binh Duong to members of the WTA. Especially, Binh Duong will welcome leaders of UNESCO at the event. This is a chance for UNESCO to support the province in the fields of health, education and smart city building.

Mr.Dung said that as of now, Binh Duong has fulfilled its preparatory work for the WTA 2018. He also thanked the Daejeon delegation for their support to Binh Duong in hosting the WTA summit 2018 while believing that this event will help Binh Duong establish relations with countries around the world for better development.
