Provincial leader receives Malaysian Consul General

Early Feb.29, Tran Thanh Liem, Vice-Secretary of provincial Party Committee cum Chairman of provincial People’s Committee received Sofian ABD Karim, Malaysian Consul General in HCM city.

At the reception, Mr.Liem briefly informed the Consul General about the province’s socio-economic performance, especially in FDI attraction. The whole province has so far absorbed more than FDI projects from 41 countries and territories with total investment capital of more than US$24bln. Among them, 71 have been invested by Malaysian enterprises.

He also mentioned the province’s preferential policies for FDI enterprises while wanting that the Consul General would call for Malaysian enterprises to further make investment in the province.

Speaking at the reception, the Consul General thanked provincial leaders for their efforts in creating favorable conditions for Malaysian enterprises operating in the province to develop over the past time while vowing to further call for other Malaysian enterprises to invest in the province. He also hoped that provincial leaders would further support Malaysian enterprises operating in the province to expand their production-business activities, strengthening solidarity and friendship between people of the two countries.
