Provincial leaders visit and extend greetings to 100-year-old elderly persons

* On the morning of February 14, Nguyen Loc Ha, Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; and leaders of departments, branches and municipalities came to celebrate and congratulate 100-year-old elderly persons in Thu Dau Mot City on the occasion of spring 2022.

The delegation visited Le Thi Dat, Mai Thanh Chi, Vo Thi Linh, Tran Thi Tro, Huynh Thi Hai, Nguyen Thi Hoi (both born in 1922). Although they are 100 years old, they are in good health and have a sound mind. For example, Mai Thanh Chi (Phu Cuong ward), when the delegation visited, he recalled many memories of a time working with former provincial leaders, talked about a time working with the army and people of Thu Dau Mot city to fight for the national independence. And Vo Thi Linh still regularly sells fruit on Pham Ngu Lao street every morning...

Nguyen Loc Ha paid compliments to the elderly, wished them good health, to live happily with their family. He also presented birthday cards of President Nguyen Xuan Phuc to the elderly persons. On the municipal government side, each elderly person received a gift of silk fabric, 1.2 million VND in cash, and a spring gift.

* On the morning of the same day, the provincial delegation also visited, wished longevity and gave gifts to 100-year-old elderly persons in Thuan An city.

On behalf of the delegation, Nguyen Truong Nhat Phuong, Vice Chairwoman of the Provincial People's Council, wished them a long life; and noted that the municipal government needed to pay attention to and create favorable conditions for the elderly to live happily and healthily, continue to be a spiritual support, and set a good example for young generations to follow.

* On the same day, the provincial delegation led by Nguyen Thi Phuong Dung, Deputy Director of the Provincial Department of Education and Training, visited 100-year-old elderly persons in Ben Cat town.

The delegation wished three aged people, including: Ung Thi Xe in My Phuoc ward, Nguyen Van Dien in Thoi Hoa ward, and Nguyen Van Nhan in Hoa Loi ward. At each place, the delegation inquired about health and life of the elderly and their families. On this occasion, the delegation presented the President's birthday card and a gift of silk fabric and cash to each of them.

* On February 14, People's Committee of Bau Bang district made visits, gave gifts and extended wishes to the elderly on occasion of the 2022 Lunar New Year.

The delegation visited four 100-year-old people in Lai Uyen town and three elderly people in Lai Hung commune; at the same time, sent New Year wishes all the the elderly and their families a new year full of good health and happiness; and hoped the elderly have happy and healthy lives, always be exemplary models for their children and grandchildren.

In Phu Giao district, another provincial delegation also visited, gave gifts to aged persons, including: Dang Thi Chuyen in Bo La hamlet, Phuoc Hoa commune; Pham Thi Loan in Quarter 6, Phuoc Vinh town, and Do Thi Sap in Phu Thinh 2 hamlet, An Thai commune. The delegation visited and wished the elderly persons to continue living a long, happy and healthy life together with their children and grandchildren, wished them to constantly uphold the spirit of "older age, higher will"; "older age, shining example", encourage their families and the community to live usefully and responsibly. The delegation presented each old person a gift worth 2.630 million VND; in which 1.200 million VND in cash and items worth 1.430 million VND.
