Provincial Party Secretary Tran Van Nam: Phu Giao district makes good growth

Morning Jan 5, provincial Party Secretary Tran Van Nam had a meeting with Phu Giao district Party Standing Committee to evaluate socio-economic development, security – defense condition, Party construction in 2015, and put forward orientations in 2016. Tran Thanh Liem, Deputy Chairman of provincial People’s Committee, also attended the meeting.

In 2015, Phu Giao district’s socio-economic condition continued to grow well, security – defense was secured. 10 out of 13 Party Resolution’s targets were met and surpassed. Accordingly, the district agricultural and forestry production value reached 3,380 billion VND, up 5.06% compared with 2014; industrial, handicraft production value reached 2,300 billion VND, up more than 7%; total retail sales of goods and services reached 2,890 billion VND, up more than 19%. Total budget revenue was estimated at over 168 billion VND, reaching over 106% target…

Poor household rate of the district was only 0.91%. The district completed new rural construction program at five communes, increasing the total number of new rural communes of the district by 7. Party and government construction works were in line with the Resolution and higher leadership’s direction; created good changes in political, ideological, personnel organization aspect, and Party leadership methods, contributing to economic growth, political-socio stability. In 2016, Phu Giao district is striving for agricultural and forestry production value to increase from 5.5 to 6.5%; industrial – handicraft production value to increase from 10 to 12%; one more new rural commune.

Speaking at the meeting, Mr. Nam assessed Phu Giao district eyed good growth; and noted that the district should perform strictly planning works, especially rural transport planning; improve rubber tapping workers’ life; improve the quality of Party meetings at grassroots level; expand Party organizations among the working class...
