In the evening of January 12, a meeting of consular and foreign  agencies was held at Lucky Square Convention and Event Center in Binh Duong New City to mark the traditional Tet holiday of Vietnam – Year of Dragon 2012.

 

Attending the meeting were Party Central Committee Commissioner, cum Provincial Party Committee Secretary Mai The Trung, Provincial People’s Committee Chairman Le Thanh Cung, general consular representatives, Ho Chi Minh City Trading Affairs and Association of Foreign Enterprises, and representatives of domestic and foreign enterprises operating in Binh Duong Province.

Addressing the meeting, Chairman Le Thanh Cung informed of socio-economic development in 2011 which saw an increase of 14% in GDP higher than in 2010.

 

By facilitating favorable investment environment, Binh Duong Province authority has helped to attract more and more domestic and foreign investment projects.

 

In 2011, nearly 27,000 billion VND and 1 billion USD has been poured into domestic and foreign investment projects accordingly. In the meantime, orientation, policies and guidelines of the province regarding diplomat activities have been intensified to promote investment.
