Project on “Review of provincial development model in national renewal process, with a vision to 2050” under evaluation and acceptance

On the afternoon of September 23, the Evaluation and Acceptance Council for the project on “Review of Binh Duong provincial development model in the national “Đổi mới” (Renewal) process, with a vision to 2050” convened to evaluate and accept the project. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Thien Nhan, former member of the Politburo and former Deputy Prime Minister and Dr. Nguyen Hoang Thao, Permanent Vice Secretary of provincial Party Committee and Vice Chairman of the Council co-chaired the conference.

An overview of the conference

The project on “Review of Binh Duong provincial development model in the national renewal process, with a vision to 2050” was signed for implementation by the Central Theoretical Council and Binh Duong provincial Party Committee at the end of April 2022, with its objective being to focus on researching and summarizing Binh Duong's development model in the national renewal cause.  

The project includes such contents as comprehensively evaluating Binh Duong's development results in all aspects during the renewal period; identifying and clarifying the outstanding characteristics of Binh Duong's development model during the national renewal period; analyzing reasons, especially approaches that led to success and drawing lessons learned and achievements done by Binh Duong.

The project aims at serving the practical purpose of reviewing the 40-year implementation of the national renewal cause from 1986 to 2026. The project will analyze and forecast influencing factors, thereby identifying strategies, policies and special mechanisms for the development of Binh Duong in the coming time.

At the conference, members of the Council expressed their critical opinions and provided evaluations to clarify several related issues while contributing many heartfelt and responsible strategic ideas for Binh Duong to achieve breakthrough development in the new period. Members of the Council held a closed discussion and voted, resulting in a 100% assessment of the project as the excellent one.

Speaking at the conference, Prof.Dr. Nguyen Thien Nhan requested that the project management board fully acknowledged opinions by delegates to further research, supplement and finalize the project, ensuring that the set goals and requirements are met.
