Provincial Police Agency’s Women’s Union with activities towards grassroots

After its first congress for the 2016-2021 tenure, provincial Police Agency’s Women’s Union has continued reaching new development steps with considerable results in all aspects.

Together with the whole sector, provincial Police Agency’s Women’s Union has seriously implemented emulation movements, campaigns launched by the Ministry of Public Security, namely “Women of Vietnamese People’s Police Force study and follow President Ho Chi Minh’s ideology, morality and lifestyle”, “Building sustainable and happy families” for the period of 2017-2021…Under the Politburo’s Directive No.05 on acceleration of studying and following President Ho Chi Minh’s ideology, morality and lifestyle”, the Women’s Union has so far organized talk shows, “return-to-the root” trips… with the participation of numerous members.

The Women’s Union last year coordinated with the Youth Union to advise provincial Police Agency on organizing significant activities in response to the Action Month for Children, Vietnamese Family Day; hold cultural-sports activities in celebration of the Party and New Year…Noticeably, the Women’s Union organized a “building happy family” contest with the participation of 15 teams, a traditional camping festival under the theme of “Following the steps of elders” on the 72^nd anniversary of traditional day of Vietnamese People’s Police Force (August 19, 1945-August 19, 2017)…, thereby creating useful playgrounds for officials and members.

The Women’s Union also paid more attention to visiting, presenting gifts to officials, soldiers and people in border areas and remote islands. Besides, the Women’s Union provided free medical check-up, medicine and gifts for 100 policy beneficiaries and needy people in Binh Phuoc province with a total expense of VND46million; teamed up with the Women’s Union of the emulation group No.3 to visit and present gifts worth VND45million to poor women in Binh Phuoc province.

On Tet and great holidays, the Women’s Union visited and offered gifts to 7 soldiers with difficult circumstances; visited 2 heroic Vietnamese mothers, policy beneficiaries and revolutionary contributors. The Women’s Union and its branches also raised fund in support for poor-but-excellent pupils.

One of highlights done by the Women’s Union last year was law dissemination. Particularly, the Women’s Union coordinated with the Women’s Union of the emulation group No.3 and the Women’s Union of Phu Hoa ward in TDM city to organize 2 propaganda programs on the Road Law and the dangers of drug abuse for pupils at Phu Hoa secondary school. On the National Action Month against Domestic Violence and the Vietnam Family Day, the Women’s Union joined hands with the Youth Union to make law dissemination against domestic violence, child sexual abuse, drug abuse…for 1,000 primary and secondary pupils in TDM city; carried out law dissemination among workers at lodging facilities…All contributed to not only raising legal knowledge of officials, members, but also of people from all strata.

The above results came from the attention and support of the Party Committee and Directorate of provincial Police Agency, contributing to building the image of women of Vietnamese People’s Police Force with two good performances towards the fine values of the community.
