Provincial retail system well meets public demands

Currently, 96 markets, 31 temporary market points, 16 supermarkets, 293 mini supermarkets, convenience stores, and 6 shopping centers are resident in the province. The supermarket and shopping center system is mainly concentrated in Thu Dau Mot city, Thuan An city, Di An city, Tan Uyen city, and Ben Cat city; while the traditional market system is evenly distributed in localities throughout the province.

According to the assessment of functional sectors, the current system of markets, supermarkets, and shopping centers in the province well meets the increasing needs of the people. The districts of Dau Tieng, Bau Bang, Phu Giao, and Bac Tan Uyen have greater potentials for developing modern commercial and service infrastructure as they are actively promoting the development of high-quality commercial and service sectors to better meet the needs of the people in the area.
