Provincial Volunteer Soldiers’ Day for Urban Civilization

Early July 3, provincial Youth Union held the 2022 provincial Volunteer Soldiers ‘Day for Urban Civilization in Thu Dau Mot city. This is one of the three units selected by the Youth Union Central Committee to organize the 2022 peak day "Volunteer soldiers for Urban Civilization". The event was attended by Ngo Van Cuong, Secretary of the Youth Union Central Committee, Head of the Central Youth Union Committee’s Inspection Commission; Nguyen Van Loc, member of provincial Party Standing Committee, Head of provincial Party Committee's Mass Mobilization Commission, Chairman of provincial Fatherland Front Committee.

At the festival, the Secretariat of the Youth Union Central Committee offered a youth work on "Lighting up rural road" worth VND125 million and 500 reusable cloth bags to the people. Provincial Young Physicians Association and Binh Duong Medic General Hospital also donated 500 post-Covid-19 medical examinations and medicine to the local disadvantaged children with a total value of VND250million received by provincial Youth Union.

On this occasion, provincial Youth Union Standing Committee presented the 2022 "Typical Young Family" award to 5 young families. Representatives of the cities, townships’Youth Unions, the Youth Unions of provincial Police Agency, Military Command, Agencies and Enterprises Bloc signed a commitment on "Ensuring the organization of activities in urban civilization construction". In addition, provincial Youth Union launched 5 volunteer squads for urban civilization in Thu Dau Mot city, Thuan An city, Di An city, Tan Uyen town and Ben Cat town.

The festival’s program also included such significant activities as a booth exchanging waste for gifts; a training forum for staff who are in charge of environmental protection; a recycled fashion contest, folk dancing items to propagandize environmental protection…
