Retail and service revenue gain VND 2,890 billion in Phu Giao District

Phu Giao District People’s Committee informed that in 2015, the sharp reduction of rubber latex price has greatly affected buying power of local people. However, as the consuming indexes of majority of commodities have not increased while local People’s Committee has coordinated with Department of Industry and Trade, enterprises and retailers to bring Vietnamese commodities to rural areas in price stabilization programs, the buying power of local people has been stimulated. Accordingly, the retail and service revenue in the district have gained totally VND 2,890 billion, increasing by 19.18% higher than in 2014.

Besides, local People’s Committee has directed functional sectors to enhance market control and commodity price monitoring while carrying out well anti-smuggling, anti-speculation, and fights against fake commodity scarcity. By the inspection, the district agencies have discovered and sanctioned 67 breaching cases to get payments to the State over VND 110 million and confiscate the commodities of such breaches.
