Road-use fee for motorbikes to be collected on Aug. 10

Accordingly, the provincial People’s Council ratified an overall planning adjustment on provincial socio-economic development till 2020 and simultaneously asked the provincial People’s Committee to implement procedures to submit to the Government PM for approval. This resolution has enacted since July 31. This is an important resolution for the province to calculate targets in conformity with local situation.

One of resolutions concerned at the session included collection, management and use of road-use fee for motorbikes in the province. Accordingly, the provincial People’s Council ratified regulations of collecting, managing and using road-use fee for motorbikes. Specifically, motorbikes with engine capacities of below 100cc will be charged VND50,000 a year while those of over 100cc will be subject to a fee of VND105,000, inner-city and outlying areas alike. In terms of management and use of road fee, motorbike fees will go to the ward and township level authorities (10%) and the commune level ones (20%) and the remaining will go to the provincial road maintenance fund. This Resolution will take effect on Aug. 10.

In addition, the provincial People’s Council issued a Resolution on setting up Binh Nham, Hung Dinh wards in Thuan An town on changing from Binh Nham and Hung Dinh communes.

Resolution on implementing policies for communal level reserve cadres and public servants was also passed at the session. Accordingly, the number of communal level reserve cadres and public servants will be at 200 people.
